Pennant Place is a curatorial platform and outdoor project space that I founded in 2023 and continue to run (with amazing interns) through an ongoing series of temporary public art projects. The work takes place in an outdoor hangable space and is shaped by time, weather, use, and everyday life rather than controlled gallery conditions. Pennant Place supports experimental and established artist practices, focuses on projects aligned with my curatorial interests, and provides me with a space to further my practice-research in accessible, anti-oppressive curatorial work. The space is grounded in questions about how art can coexist with daily life, respond to place, and imagine more livable futures, with an emphasis on accessibility, care, and sharing art with both traditional art audiences and pedestrians who might never visit traditional venues such as museums. It is generally open daylight hours year-round (although video shows are at night and we’ve received at least a couple of midnight visitors!)

Shows so far include:

Elizabeth Allen-Cannon: Sun Shade
Meredith Starr / Sarah Kain Gutowski: Beautiful Regenerative Fires
Selina Doroshenko: No No No No Limits
